Try Hockey for Free Recap!

On February 22nd, Troy Youth Hockey held a Try Hockey for Free event at Buffalo Wild Wings Arena welcoming young aspiring players to experience the excitement of hockey in a fun and supportive environment. The event was part of the nationwide Try Hockey for Free initiative, aimed at introducing children to the sport and encouraging participation at the grassroots level.

Over 50 enthusiastic participants hit the ice for the first time, learning the fundamentals of skating and stickhandling. Our skilled coaches and friendly volunteers guided the kids through fun activities, ensuring that each child had a positive and memorable experience. The session provided families the opportunity to explore hockey without any prior commitment, making it a fantastic introduction to the sport.

Troy Youth Hockey is committed to developing young athletes and providing a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels. The Try Hockey for Free event is just one of many ways the program works to grow the sport and create lasting memories for local families.

Thank you to all the participants, volunteers, and parents who made the event such a success. We look forward to welcoming new players to the rink and watching them grow in the game of hockey!
