LOCKER ROOM MONITORS
Locker Room Monitors (LRMs) are required by MAHA to be in all locker rooms that are being used by a TYHA team.
LRMs will be able to provide support for the coaching staff to promote a safe and supportive environment for each player and their team. They can help discourage any conflicts/inappropriate behavior, keep the players and team focused, and help out in other areas the coaching staff may need them for.
Steps To Be A Locker Room Monitor
Register with USA Hockey
Register as a Manager/Volunteer. Cost is FREE!
Background Check
A background check is good for 2 years once completed. There is a $30 cost.
SafeSport Training
SafeSport Training is the online training/education that is available to help our members become aware of the information necessary to help prevent abuse from occurring on teams. Module/refresher courses must be taken yearly. Can only renew 30 days prior to expiration date. Each training is valid 12 months from date of completion. Cost is FREE!
Once all the steps has been completed, reach out to the team manager or coach of the team and request to be added to the team's USA Hockey roster.
