๐Ÿ’ JANUARY PLAYER OF THE MONTH ๐Ÿ’

Congratulations to #34, Nash Hafner of the 2015 Troy Sting Squirt AA team!

Now in his second season as part of the TYHA family, Nash continues to make a strong impact every time he hits the ice. An explosive forward, Nash models his game after Lucas Raymond and is a proud Detroit Red Wings fan, showcasing speed, creativity, and a natural offensive touch inspired by his favorite player and team.

Nash earned this recognition from his outstanding December performance, where he was a constant offensive threat. With a great first step and an excellent ability to find seams in the defense, Nash consistently turned opportunities into high-danger scoring chances for himself and his teammates. He isnโ€™t afraid to battle in traffic and routinely comes out of scrums with possession of the puck. His offensive impact showed on the scoresheet, finishing the month with 6 goals and 5 assists.

One of Nashโ€™s favorite hockey memories is playing at Munn Ice Arena last season and winning the game in overtime; a moment that reflects his competitiveness, confidence, and love for the game. Beyond the stats, Nashโ€™s effort, energy, and team-first mindset make him a valuable teammate and a joy to coach.

Nash, thank you for your hard work, competitiveness, and offensive impact. Your performance earned you January Player of the Month honors.

๐Ÿ‘ Keep up the great work, and congratulations from Coach Mike Maciag and the entire TYHA family!
Another one! Congratulations to the @troysting16 on their District 3 Championship!

Congratulations to the 2011 Troy Sting on their District 3 Championship!

GO STING!๐Ÿ
๐Ÿ’โ„๏ธ What an awesome weekend for TYHA at the Royal Oak Outdoor Classic!

Our 6U teams showed what hockey is all about with teamwork, sportsmanship, and cheering each other on. The Teal team earned a big win to help the White team advance and then proudly supported and cheered them on as they skated all the way to the finals. Weโ€™re so proud of these young players for being great teammates on and off the ice! ๐Ÿ
Sting on duty ๐Ÿ

Locked in and pointing the way! A Sting mascot helped the 10U team find their rink and locker room as Districts get underway.

Best of luck to all Sting teams competing. Bring the energy and letโ€™s go Sting! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’
Congratulations to @troysting16

The team went undefeated through tournament play and earned a 2nd place finish as finalists at the Pittsburgh Mid-Winter Classic in the 10U A division.

๐Ÿ’ DECEMBER PLAYER OF THE MONTH ๐Ÿ’

Congratulations to #27, Jesse Foster of the 8U Troy Sting White!

In his first year as part of the TYHA family, Jesse has made an immediate impact after joining us from the New Mexico Ice Wolves. A true all-around player, Jesse thrives wherever heโ€™s needed most, whether shutting the door in net or locking things down on defense.

Throughout December, Jesse was a difference-maker in every sense of the word. He delivered two strong goaltending performances, including a huge league win over SCS. He followed it up with a solid showing at Silver Sticks, helping his team advance to Sundayโ€™s playoff bracket. Not only can Jesse stop pucks, but he can score them too, as highlighted by an impressive hat trick against rival Big Boy, which sealed a big team victory. One of his favorite hockey memories? Calling that hat trick ahead of time and then making it happen! ๐ŸŽฉ๐Ÿ”ฅ

A passionate Edmonton Oilers fan, Jesse models his game after Connor McDavid of the Oilers and Alex DeBrincat of the Detroit Red Wings, blending speed, skill, and hockey IQ with relentless effort. Beyond the stats, Jesseโ€™s love for the game and positive energy off the ice make him an invaluable teammate and a joy to coach.

Jesse, thank you for your versatility, enthusiasm, and commitment to the team. Your ability to both find the back of the net and shut it down earned you December Player of the Month honors.

๐Ÿ‘ Keep up the great work, and congratulations from Coach Rick Merritt and the entire TYHA family!
Congratulations to the 8U Troy Sting White! Earlier this month, they competed in the International Silver Stick Port Huron Regional and brought home 2nd place in the Black Division. Go Sting! ๐Ÿ
๐Ÿ’ NOVEMBER PLAYER OF THE MONTH ๐Ÿ’
Congratulations to #20, Josie Dungan of the @2015troy_sting!

A proud member of the Sting family for the past five seasons, Josie continues to shine as a dependable force on defense. This month, she was an absolute rock on the blue line, playing her steady, physical, stay-at-home style while still finding ways to spark the offense. In November alone, she put up an outstanding 3 goals and 16 assists, proving her ability to make smart plays, keep pucks alive, and create scoring chances from the point.

A loyal Detroit Red Wings fan who models her game after Moritz Seider, Josie brings the same poise, competitiveness, and edge to every shift. Her favorite hockey memory? Celebrating on the ice with her teammates after winning the President Cup Tournament last season! ๐Ÿ†

Josie, thank you for your leadership, grit, and consistency. You embody what it means to wear the Sting jersey, and your impact is felt every time you hit the ice.

๐Ÿ‘ Keep up the amazing work, and congratulations from Coach Mike Maciag and the entire TYHA family!
Congratulations to the 2011 Troy Sting on their win earlier this month at the Buffalo River Outdoor Classic!
๐Ÿ’ OCTOBER PLAYER OF THE MONTH ๐Ÿ’

Congratulations to #9, Bronson Wenner of the @troysting16

This is Bronsonโ€™s first year with TYHA, and heโ€™s already making a huge impact both on and off the ice. Naturally a forward, Bronson stepped up without hesitation when his team needed a goalie after an injury. Using his quick hands and feet, heโ€™s shown incredible adaptability and a true team-first attitude, keeping his team in the game and the crowd on their feet!

Bronson models his play after Alex DeBrincat and Marc-Andrรฉ Fleury, and it shows in his hustle, confidence, and composure. His favorite hockey memory? โ€œSuiting up for the boys!โ€ ๐Ÿ’ช

Thank you, Bronson, for your selflessness, hard work, and heart โ€” youโ€™ve shown what it truly means to wear the Sting jersey.

๐Ÿ‘ Keep up the great work, and congratulations from Coach Justin Kellow and the entire TYHA family!
